The True STR1F-2HG-HC Spec Series® one-section reach-in freezer uses eco-friendly R290 hydrocarbon refrigerant to maintain temperatures at approximately -10 degrees Fahrenheit. Its top-mounted refrigeration system prevents debris from entering the unit. Efficient fan motors ensure consistent cold air circulation with low heat production and energy consumption. Defrost cycles, initiated by a timer and concluding when the ideal temperature is reached, prevent frost buildup.
For the first 20 seconds after startup, the condenser fan motor reverses to remove dirt and debris from the condensing coil, enhancing energy efficiency and maintaining the coldest storage temperatures. While this self-cleaning feature extends the unit’s lifespan, regular maintenance is still advised.
The freezer features LED lighting, triple-pane glass half doors, and heavy-duty stainless steel construction, both inside and outside, to resist corrosion and facilitate cleaning. The doors self-close to preserve cold air and can stay open beyond 120 degrees when needed. Additionally, three adjustable chrome shelves offer versatility.
