Halo Heat® is what sets this electric Slo Cook Hold and Smoker Oven apart. Meats, chicken and fish can all be cooked over real wood chips to either mild, medium or heavy smoke flavor by using the smoke timer on this oven. Fish and cheese can be cold smoked as well. There’s a probe provided for cooking meats the safest internal temperatures, and there’s timed cooking as well, which is a staple in hectic commercial environments.
The body of the unit is 20 gauge stainless steel with a window in the door for viewing. There are two wire shelves and a rib rack, making the capacity of the oven seven full pans. There’s also a removable stainless drip pan with a drain. A sample bag of each of the types of wood chips-Cherry, Maple, Hickory and Apple, comes with your order. It’s sitting on four caster, two of them rigid and two swivel with locking brakes. There’s an LED display, and an ON/OFF key, as well as temperatures keys for cooking (200-325F), using the probe (50-195F) and holding (60-205F). There’s also a timer which can be set from 1 minute to 24 hours. Eight programmable menu buttons allow you to store your favorite recipes and reduce the effort in preparing them. The SureTemp heat recovery system restores heat quickly when the temperature has dropped due to opening the oven door, and has an alarm which sounds in three minutes if the door’s left open.
